- Cheese melted to a molten state in the oven will be hot and probably burn my mouth. (But I really wanted brie now!)
- "The Girls Next Door" is a vapid, ridiculous waste of time & brain cells. (Yet I can't turn the channel).
- Teenage boys do not genuinely care about creative writing. Ever. (But they will pretend, and write excruciating, interminable stories involving marijuana).
- Mornings are a complete drag, especially when there are meetings scheduled during them.
- Some people truly believe that kids with "piercings, weird hair, and you know, stuff like that" are not as reliable as preppy, 4.0 Key Club members. (There was a PTA committee meeting tonight and I had a moment...Of restraint, no worries.)
- Preteen boys find moms invisible. (My best friend & I went to pick up her son at youth group tonight and he actually looked directly at us in the foyer, then walked into the game room)
- Mornings are horrible. (Did I already mention that?)
- If I take my coat in the horrible morning, it will be sunny & delightful by afternoon. Leaving a coat or sweater at home means the day will turn into a natural disaster.
- I cannot be trusted with a credit card, especially one labeled GAP or Nordstrom. I lose my mind (and paycheck) over cardigans, cosmetics, and underwear.
- Counting the days until vacation makes me feel guilty but I do it anyway, in my mind.
- Listening to Queen, Squeeze, or ABBA almost always improves my mood.
- Breakfast is important. Skipping it causes turmoil, for everyone.
- There is no shame in OCD.

My husband died laughing when he caught me watching The Girls Next Door. I wrap my brie in puff pastry so that I am not tempted to eat cheese that could fuse my mouth. Love your list!
Great list. I'll admit to being sucked in to the Girls Next Door vortex a couple of times too.
Hahah. That was a fun read :)
You're a funny girl... haha
I'm currently suffering from a numb tongue because I burnt it off very very hot coffee YESTERDAY! Yup. That's how bad I burnt it.
Our poor tongues, its a good thing we know how to type.
It kills me when older people look down upon kids who where piercings, tattoos, etc. These older people are probably the ones who wore long hair, love beads, and paisley gear when they were young.
Squeeze and ABBA improve my mood too! Another group whose music always brings a smile to my face is The Lovin' Spoonful.
i'm an ocder all the way! hehe

I love ABBA!
I'm stuck on the comment about piercings. WTH?
Yet, I can picture it being said & suddenly, I'm not too sad I missed the meeting...
What a funny list. I pretty much agree with you on all these!
Just so you know... those wierd people with piercings can be key club members with a 4.0 GPA. Ask katydidnot... i was one of them, until I got a B in spanish, sophomore year and bawled my way through christmas break.
I don't know The Girls Next Door, but thanks for the warning!
Don't all teachers count the days? I'm pretty sure they do.
my very own preteen boy would agree with you on the invisible mom things...if he could see you.
heh heh... so many things we should have learnt...
You don't like mornings...but you love breakfast. Hmmmm....
Join me in the Breakfast For Dinner Crusade. :)
