thirteen saptastic songs for your valentine

My 13 faves from the "lovey dovey stuff" playlist on my iPod:

  • This Boy ~ The Beatles (I totally wanted This Boy, to save me from That Boy who only made me cry.)

~Diana Ross & Lionel Richie (I used to have the 45 rpm and would listen to it daily. And cry.)
  • I Will Always Love You ~ Dolly Parton (More crying)
  • Wonderful Tonight ~ Eric Clapton (Rockers singing love songs? *sob*)
  • I Only Want to Be With You ~ Dusty Springfield (I love that I could actually sing along to this; if only I could dance like her.)

I love Hey There Delilah...even if my husband makes up sassy lyrics to ruin it. They have another song on the album about writing a song and it's even sweeter than Delilah IMO.

Oh, the sweet, sweet harmonies of young boys in too-short pants and mop-tops. Very nice.

And, totally unrelated...how ever did you manage to center your light-bulb?!

.38 Special, Chicago, and Richard Marx. Oh. My. Gosh. Those guys pulled me through many a break-up in high school. Excellent list. (I'm off to cry on my iPod)

pardon my spam comment (copied from bad mom) It's late and pasting is easier.

Oh I love This Boy. it's on my mp3 player, twice. did you happen to see Sean Lennon sing this, it was a tribute to his dad, I think. Incredibly moving.
